Question by : What do you think makes a blog successful?
What are your standards of success for a blog? Readership? Quality? Is there a relationship between readership and quality?
What did people with successful blogs do to make them successful? Was it a kind of “if you build it, they will come” thing? Do they actively market themselves? Do they associate themselves with other famous bloggers or websites? How does it happen?

I think that quality is almost always better than quantity, but if you don’t update your blog that often you usually let your followers down. So a mix of the two is ideal, and as you can see successful bloggers usually have certain intervals when they blog. Be individual (as obvious as it may seem) and you’ll stand out too.
I had a blog, but I devoted a lot of time into my personal life so I couldn’t keep up with the feedback I was getting and decided to stop.
